Sarthak Misra wins prestigious VIDI Grant
Sarthak Misra has been awarded the prestigious Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO) VIDI Grant. This grant will be used for the SAMURAI (Steering Actuated Probes under Magnetic- and Ultrasound-Guidance for Targeted Interventions) research project.
The goal of SAMURAI is to design a robotic system to steer magnetically-actuated flexible probes using ultrasound (US) images for accurate feedback, and thereby enable precise delivery of agents to a designated target.
The VIDI grant is part of the NWO Innovational Research Incentives Scheme. This funding scheme offers personal grants to talented, creative, and experienced researchers. It aims to boost innovative research and promotes mobility within scientific research institutes.
